Terms

Last updated 4 November 2026

By using Cold Take (this site and its app) you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose. Questions: hello@coldtake.org.

Your account

• You need to be at least 13.
• Keep your password to yourself; what's done with your account is on you.
• One person, one account. Don't pretend to be someone else.

What you post

Your takes, comments, lists and messages stay yours. You let Cold Take store them and show them to others as the site works (the privacy page says who sees what). Don't post anything that's illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual, or someone else's private information, and no spam or advertising.

Don't break it

Don't try to get around the blind rule or the limits, get into other people's accounts, overload the server, or copy the site's data with scripts.

If something goes wrong

Posts or accounts that break these terms can be removed, with or without warning. You can delete your account whenever you like (Settings → Account).

Cold Take is a hobby project offered as it is: it may change, have mistakes, be down for a while or stop. It isn't liable for losses from using it, as far as the law allows.

Films

Film data and images come from TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new date. Using Cold Take after that means you agree to it.
